Drzewo Roku 2026
W dniach 16-17 czerwca 2026r. przeprowadzono głosowanie na "Drzewo Roku". Celem konkursu jest promowanie postaw szacunku dla przyrody. Istotne jest odnajdywanie przykładów trwałych związków pomiędzy kulturą i historią lokalnej społeczności a drzewem. Poszukiwane jest drzewo z opowieścią, które pobudza wyobraźnie i jednoczy ludzi. Inicjatorzy konkursu z Klubu Gaja wierzą, że konkurs stwarza szanse na wypromowanie walorów przyrodniczych, turystycznych i kulturowych  swojego miejsca zamieszkania . Laureatem zostanie drzewo, które zdobędzie największą liczbę głosów. W tym roku lobbowaliśmy za drzewem z ulicy Górczewskiej o nazwie Topola Obrońców. Drzewo to było świadkiem heroicznej obrony Warszawy w czasie kampanii wrześniowej 1939r. Ambasadorami konkursu są :podróżniczka i pisarka Elżbieta Dzikowska i wybitny polski językoznawca profesor Jan Miodek. Bez względu na wynik głosowania ważny jest już sam udział naszej młodzieży w tym przedsięwzięciu.

Tree of the Year 2026
On June 16th –17th, 2026, a vote was held for the “Tree of the Year.” The goal of the contest is to promote respect for nature. It is important to find examples of lasting connections between the culture and history of the local community and a tree. The contest seeks a tree with a story that sparks the imagination and brings people together. The  organizers from Gaja Club believe that the competition provides an opportunity to promote the natural, tourist, and cultural assets of their hometown and region. The winner  will be the tree that receives the most votes. This year, we campaigned for a tree on Górczewska Street called the Defenders’ Poplar. This tree witnessed the heroic defense of Warsaw during the September 1939 campaign. The contest’s ambassadors are: traveler and writer Elżbieta Dzikowska and the distinguished Polish linguist Professor Jan Miodek. Regardless of the voting results, the very participation of our youth in this initiative is what matters.

Europejskie Drzewo Roku 2025
W marcu ogłoszono czwarte z rzędu zwycięstwo Polski w konkursie Europejskie Drzewo Roku. W lutym nasza społeczność szkolna również wzięła udział  w tym głosowaniu. Rywalizacja z niektórymi krajami okazała się dość ostra , tak jakby zapomniano o nadrzędnej idei konkursu , którą jest docenienie pomników przyrody,  jakimi są stare drzewa. Konkurs organizowany jest od wielu lat przez czeską fundacje Partnerstwo dla Środowiska. Europejska runda jest etapem finałowym następującym po rundach krajowych. Zwycięzcą Konkursu okazał się buk o nazwie  Serce Wzgórz Dalkowskich w wieku 300 lat.
Na nasze drzewo oddano  144,553 głosów!!! Dziękujemy bardzo za wsparcie w tym głosowaniu!!!

European Tree of the Year 2025
The news is great! In March, Poland's fourth consecutive victory in the European Tree of the Year competition was announced ! In February, our school community also took part in this voting process. The competition with some countries turned out to be quite fierce, as if  its overriding idea , which is to appreciate natural monuments such as old trees, had been forgotten. The competition has been organised for many years by the Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation. The European round follows the national rounds. The winner of the competition was a beech named Heart of the Dalkov Hills aged 300 years.  144,553 votes were cast for our tree!!!

Europejskie Drzewo Roku 2023 
Już drugi raz głosowaliśmy na Europejskie Drzewo Roku – w tej edycji było to drzewo o nazwie Fabrykant z Łodzi. Jest to jedno z najbardziej oryginalnych drzew w Polsce. W poprzedniej edycji z pewnością przyczyniliśmy się do wygranej naszego drzewa o nazwie Dunin rosnącego w Puszczy Białowieskiej.  Z niecierpliwością  czekamy na wyniki głosowania, które poznamy w czerwcu.

European Tree of the Year 2023
This is the second time we have voted for the European Tree of the Year - in this edition our choice  was a tree called Fabrykant from Lodz. It is one of the most original trees in Poland. In the previous edition, we certainly contributed to the winning of our tree named Dunin growing in the Białowieża Forest.  We are looking forward to the results of the vote, which will be known in June.

Europejskie Drzewo Roku 2022
W marcu nasi uczniowie wzięli udział w głosowaniu związanym z  wyborem Drzewa Roku. Uczniowie wybierali dwa drzewa spośród  wielu ciekawych drzew nominowanych do tego tytułu z różnych krajów europejskich. Jeden głos można było oddać na nasze rodzime drzewo, a drugi na drzewo z innego kraju. Nasz kraj reprezentował 400 letni Dąb Dunin,  nazywany też Strażnikiem Puszczy Białowieskiej. W tym roku dołożyliśmy swoją cegiełkę , aby to szczególne drzewo - dąb Dunin zajął pierwsze miejsce 179 317 głosami. Ceremonia rozdania nagród znajduje się pod linkiem  https://youtu.be/yiafj782oUQ

European Tree of the Year 2022
In March our students took part in the voting for the Tree of the Year. Students chose two trees from many interesting nominations from different European countries. One vote could be cast for our native tree and the other for a tree from another country. Our country was represented by 400-year old Dunin Oak, also called the Guardian of Bialowieza Forest. This year, we did our part to ensure that this special tree - Dunin Oak took the first place with 179 317 votes. The award ceremony can be found at https://youtu.be/yiafj782oUQ.
